Stainless Steel Bag Filter Housings
A pressure vessel holds a replaceable filter bag inside a perforated basket. Available in single-bag, multi-bag, quick-opening and oil-filtration configurations.

How a Bag Filter Housing Works
Liquid enters the vessel and flows through the filter bag from the inside out. The basket supports the bag against operating pressure, while particles larger than the selected rating are retained in the bag. As solids accumulate, differential pressure rises. Stop the system, isolate and depressurize the vessel, then replace or clean the bag according to its media type and service conditions.
Compared with many cartridge setups, bag filtration can provide a high dirt-holding capacity at a practical consumable cost. It is commonly used for pre-filtration and general solids removal in plating, water treatment, chemicals, coatings and process liquids.
Typical Construction
Pressure Vessel
304 or 316L stainless steel construction; pressure rating is selected for the system design.
Support Basket
Perforated plate and mesh support the bag and help prevent collapse or bypass.
Filter Bag
PE, PP, nylon mesh, stainless mesh and other media are available across common micron ranges.
Reference Models
| Configuration | Bag Count | Area | Reference Flow* | Material |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Single-bag, #1 | 1 | 0.25 m² | 5–10 m³/h | 304 / 316L |
| Single-bag, #2 | 1 | 0.50 m² | 10–20 m³/h | 304 / 316L |
| Multi-bag | 2–6 | 0.5–3.0 m² | Up to 120 m³/h | 304 / 316L |
*Reference values are based on clean water and depend on viscosity, solids loading, micron rating and system pressure. Confirm final sizing against actual process conditions.
